High prevalence of clonal hematopoiesis in the blood and bone marrow of healthy volunteers.

Clonal hematopoiesis (CH) of indeterminate potential has been described in blood samples from large series of patients. Its prevalence and consequences are still not well understood because sequencing methods vary and because most studies were performed in cohorts comprising individuals with nonhematologic diseases.

Epigenetics in Primary Sjögren’s Syndrome.

Primary Sjögren’s syndrome (SjS) is a chronic and systemic autoimmune epithelitis with predominant female incidence, which is characterized by exocrine gland dysfunction. Incompletely understood, the etiology of SjS is multi-factorial and evidence is growing to consider that epigenetic factors are playing a crucial role in its development.

miR-17-5p reduces inflammation and bone erosions in collagen induced arthritis mice and directly targets the JAK-STAT…

We undertook this study to examine microRNA (miRNA) expression across rheumatoid arthritis (RA) phenotypes, along with the effects and mechanisms of action of miRNA-17-5p (miR-17).

Bovine Organospecific Microvascular Endothelial Cell Lines as New and Relevant In Vitro Models to Study Viral…

Microvascular endothelial cells constitute potential targets for exogenous microorganisms, in particular for vector-borne pathogens. Their phenotypic and functional variations according to the organs they are coming from provide an explanation of the organ selectivity expressed in vivo by pathogens.

Cross-Species Proteomics Identifies CAPG and SBP1 as Crucial Invasiveness Biomarkers in Rat and Human Malignant Mesothelioma.

Malignant mesothelioma (MM) still represents a devastating disease that is often detected too late, while the current effect of therapies on patient outcomes remains unsatisfactory. Invasiveness biomarkers may contribute to improving early diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment for patients, a task that could benefit from the development of high-throughput proteomics.

Molecular profiling of stroma highlights stratifin as a novel biomarker of poor prognosis in pancreatic ductal…

Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is a deadly cancer worldwide, as a result of a late diagnosis and limited therapeutic options. Tumour microenvironment (or stroma) plays a key role in cancer onset and progression and constitutes an intrinsic histological hallmark of PDAC. Thus we hypothesised that relevant prognostic biomarkers and therapeutic targets can be identified in the stroma.
