Molecular classification of cholangiocarcinoma.

Purpose of review: Cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) are heterogeneous tumors that arise from the malignant transformation of cholangiocytes along the biliary tree. CCA heterogeneity occurs at multiple levels and results in resistance to therapy and poor prognosis.

Hippo/YAP Signaling Pathway: A Promising Therapeutic Target in Bone Paediatric Cancers ?

Osteosarcoma and Ewing sarcoma are the most prevalent bone pediatric tumors. Despite intensive basic and medical research studies to discover new therapeutics and to improve current treatments, almost 40% of osteosarcoma and Ewing sarcoma patients succumb to the disease.

Haute Couture or Ready-to-Wear? Tailored Pelvic Radiotherapy for Prostate Cancer Based on Individualized Sentinel Lymph Node…

Prostate cancer (PCa) pelvic radiotherapy fields are defined by guidelines that do not consider individual variations in lymphatic drainage.

Local dose analysis to predict acute and late urinary toxicities after prostate cancer radiotherapy: Assessment of…

To perform bladder dose-surface map (DSM) analysis for (1) identifying symptom-related sub-surfaces (Ssurf) and evaluating their prediction capability of urinary toxicity, (2) comparing DSM with dose-volume map (DVM) (method effect), and (3) assessing the reproducibility of DSM (cohort effect).

Secretion of acid sphingomyelinase and ceramide by endothelial cells contributes to radiation-induced intestinal toxicity.

Ceramide-induced endothelial cell apoptosis boosts intestinal stem cell radiosensitivity. However, the molecular connection between these two cellular compartments has not been clearly elucidated.

Towards a Stronger Halogen Bond Involving Astatine: Unexpected Adduct with Bu3 PO Stabilized by Hydrogen Bonding.

The halogen bond is a powerful tool for the molecular design and pushing the limits of its strength is of major interest. Bearing the most potent halogen-bond donor atom, astatine monoiodide (AtI) was recently successfully probed [Nat. Chem. 2018, 10, 428-434].

Apolipoprotein-mediated regulation of lipid metabolism induces distinctive effects in different types of breast cancer cells.

The highest incidence of breast cancer is in the Western world. Several aspects of the Western lifestyle are known risk factors for breast cancer. In particular, previous studies have shown that cholesterol levels can play an important role in the regulation of tumor progression.

The Calcium-Sensing Receptor is A Marker and Potential Driver of Neuroendocrine Differentiation in Prostate Cancer.

The mechanisms underlying neuroendocrine (NE) differentiation in prostate cancer (PCa) remain mostly uncharacterized. Since a deregulated calcium homeostasis has been reported in neuroendocrine prostate cancer (NEPC), we explored herein the link between NE differentiation and the calcium-sensing receptor (CaSR).

Androgen deprivation therapy prescription, blood and bone-density testing in a French population-based study exploring adherence to…

The safety profile of androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) is well known, and cardiovascular and osteoporosis risk factors should be assessed before ADT initiation. In order to examine whether the French Committee of Urologic Oncology Prostate Cancer (PCa) Guidelines were properly followed by clinicians, including urologists,…
