Affitins: Ribosome Display for Selection of Aho7c-Based Affinity Proteins.

Engineered protein scaffolds have made a tremendous contribution to the panel of affinity tools owing to their favorable biophysical properties that make them useful for many applications. In 2007, our group paved the way for using archaeal Sul7d proteins for the design of artificial affinity ligands, so-called Affitins.

Head-and-Neck MRI-only radiotherapy treatment planning: From acquisition in treatment position to pseudo-CT generation.

In context of head-and-neck radiotherapy, this study aims to compare MR image quality according to diagnostic (DIAG) and radiotherapy (RT) setups; and to optimise an MRI-protocol (including 3D T1 and T2-weighted sequences) for dose-planning (based on pseudo-CT generation).

Unprecedented kinetic inertness for a Mn2+-bispidine chelate: a novel structural entry for Mn2+-based imaging agents.

The search for more biocompatible alternatives to Gd3+ -based MRI agents, and the interest in 52 Mn for PET imaging call for ligands that form inert Mn2+ chelates. Given the labile nature of Mn2+ , high inertness is challenging to achieve.

Cytosine methylation of mature microRNAs inhibits their functions and is associated with poor prognosis in glioblastoma…

Background: Literature reports that mature microRNA (miRNA) can be methylated at adenosine, guanosine and cytosine. However, the molecular mechanisms involved in cytosine methylation of miRNAs have not yet been fully elucidated.

Imaging of Monoclonal Gammapathy of Undetermined Significance and Smoldering Multiple Myeloma

Multiple myeloma (MM) is always preceded by an initial monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance (MGUS) that then develops into asymptomatic or smoldering multiple myeloma (SMM), which constitutes an intermediate clinical stage between MGUS and MM.

SPECT-CT Imaging of Dog Spontaneous Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma Targeting CD22 for the Implementation of a…

Antibodies directed against CD22 have been used in radioimmunotherapy (RIT) clinical trials to treat patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) with promising results. However, relevant preclinical models are needed to facilitate the evaluation and optimization of new protocols.

New insights on the role of ROS in the mechanisms of sonoporation-mediated gene delivery

Reactive oxygen species (ROS) are hypothesized to play a role in the sonoporation mechanisms. Nevertheless, the acoustical phenomenon behind the ROS production as well as the exact mechanisms of ROS action involved in the increased cell membrane permeability are still not fully understood

Increased antitumor efficacy of PD-1-deficient melanoma-specific human lymphocytes

Background: Genome editing offers unique perspectives for optimizing the functional properties of T cells for adoptive cell transfer purposes. So far, PDCD1 editing has been successfully tested mainly in chimeric antigen receptor T (CAR-T) cells and human primary T cells.
