Raman mapping coupled to self-modelling MCR-ALS analysis to estimate active cosmetic ingredient penetration profile in skin.

Confocal Raman mapping (CRM) is a powerful, label free, non-destructive tool, enabling molecular characterization of human skin with applications in the dermo-cosmetic field. Coupling CRM to multivariate analysis can be used to monitor the penetration and permeation of active cosmetic ingredients (ACI) after topical application.

New insights on the role of ROS in the mechanisms of sonoporation-mediated gene delivery.

Reactive oxygen species (ROS) are hypothesized to play a role in the sonoporation mechanisms. Nevertheless, the acoustical phenomenon behind the ROS production as well as the exact mechanisms of ROS action involved in the increased cell membrane permeability are still not fully understood.

External validation of the Briganti nomogram predicting lymph node invasion in patients with intermediate and high-risk…

To validate a nomogram predicting lymph node invasion (LNI) in prostate cancer patients undergoing radical prostatectomy taking into consideration multiparametric-magnetic resonance imaging (mp-MRI) parameters and targeted biopsies in a western European cohort.

Specificities of small cell neuroendocrine prostate cancer: Adverse prognostic value of TTF1 expression.

To determine whether small cell neuroendocrine prostate cancers (NEPCa) emerging after anti-androgen treatments are different from the rarest cases diagnosed de novo, and to identify effective predictive markers.

External Validation of the 2019 Briganti Nomogram for the Identification of Prostate Cancer Patients Who Should…

The 2019 Briganti nomogram was developed to calculate the risk of lymph node invasion (LNI) and identify prostate cancer (PCa) patients diagnosed with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)-targeted biopsy who should be considered for an extended pelvic lymph node dissection (ePLND)

Exercise shapes redox signaling in cancer.

In this paper of the special issue dedicated for the Olympics 2020, we put the light on an exciting facet of exercise-oncology, which may still be unknown to some audience. Accumulating convincing evidences show that exercise reduces cancer progression and recurrence mainly in colon and breast cancer patients.

Hypoxia Promotes Prostate Cancer Aggressiveness by Upregulating EMT-Activator Zeb1 and SK3 Channel Expression.

Hypoxia is a well-established feature of prostate cancer (PCa) and is associated with disease aggressiveness. The hypoxic microenvironment initiates multiple adaptive responses including epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT) and a remodeling of calcium homeostasis involved in cancer progression.
